Meet the Owner

Hello there! My name is Joshua Taylor. I started Taylor Lawn Care because of my love for working outdoors and wanting to provide a much needed service for the local community! I have extensive experience when it comes to lawn care and operating machinery as well as an amazing work ethic to give you the best service possible.

Now for my back story…I was born and raised in Keeseville, NY. I come from seven generations of hard working men in the Keeseville area on my father’s side and my mother was a local elementary school teacher for 33 years! Given my generational history in this area, I have a deep connection to the Adirondacks and all the locals that call this place home.

From a young age, I always knew I wanted to do something great in life. Although in my early years I didn’t enjoy physical labor, my father quickly turned me into the hardworking man I am today at the age of 14. It took me many years to develop an appreciation for physical labor but as the years passed, I slowly realized the benefits it had on the body and mind. I have many people to thank for helping me along my journey, but I especially have my father to thank for being my mentor. It is because of him that I have all the knowledge and skills I know today.

I am so grateful I get to share my passion for premium level lawn care with the local community!

My Story

My passion for lawn care all began while living at my parents 46 acre property in the Adirondack mountains. One of my tasks as a teenager was to tend to the lawn. Caring for the lawn was not something I enjoyed doing in my free time as the only machinery available for me to use was a push mower. Tending to a couple acres of open field would take forever! Over time, my father finally upgraded his mower to a lawn riding tractor. Once that day came, there was a shift in my mindset and lawn care quickly became something I looked forward to and found relaxation in! The picture above, captured by my sister, showed my usual performance while tending to the lawn. With a caption of a before and after with my equipment brings the pride out to deliver the outright most professional lawn to serve my customers.

After graduating high school, I gained more experience working for a local landscaper. It was during my time at this job that I learned how to operate zero-turn machines. After running a machine like that, I insisted we get one for the house so my father upgraded to a mini zero turn. It was at that point I knew lawn care could actually turn into a real career for me! I had finally found something in life that I had a passion for and would enjoy doing!

My History

After graduating high school, I had a goal that I would like to run my own lawn care business! I knew branching out on my own would take a lot of time and dedication, especially starting from such a young age. I completed a year of higher education at SUNY Clinton where I took the opportunity to learn business skills. These skills combined with the experience I gained working for a local landscaping business, gave me the foundation I needed to launch my own company.

After my year at SUNY Clinton, I took the opportunity to work as many different jobs as possible in different fields of work to help broaden my education and experience. These different jobs ranged from landscaping, construction, customer service, farming, driving, etc. I wouldn’t have the knowledge I do today if it weren’t for working at various local companies.

After the pandemic in 2020, I had finally gotten the opportunity I was looking for! I made the jump to open up my company known as J & T Creations LLC. I also put myself through a program offered by CV-TEC to obtain my Class A CDL. My business originally started out specializing in carpentry and rustic furniture with lawn care during the summer months. In 2023, the lawn care sector of my business grew rapidly so I decided to make the leap into full time lawn care. This is how the branch of my company, now known as Taylor Lawn Care was founded!
